FAQ for renting paintings
FAQ for Renting Paintings from Atelier van Bommel
How long can I rent a painting?
The rental period for a painting is at least 1 month, and up to 3 months!
How will the painting get to me?
After consultation, the painting will be sent via freight delivery, and you can hang it yourself, or the artist will deliver it personally and hang it in coordination with you!
What happens if the painting is damaged during transport or while in my possession?
No worries, a short-term insurance policy is included with the rental agreement, which covers any potential damages!
How much does it cost to rent a painting?
The rental cost depends on the price the painting would cost if purchased (price list available in the catalog):
- 1 month: 10% of the price (plus VAT/transport costs)
- 2 months: 15% of the price (plus VAT/transport costs)
- 3 months: 20% of the price (plus VAT/transport costs)
Half of the rental payment is due upon delivery, and the second half, along with transport costs, is due upon collection.
What if I decide to purchase the work after the rental period?
While you are renting the painting, it is not available for others to purchase. You can decide to buy it after the rental period, and it is essentially reserved for you. The best part is that the rental payment will be deducted from the purchase price, making the artwork more affordable.
Can I have a custom painting made for rental?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. However, take a look at the catalog on my website – you’re sure to find something suitable.
